This is a list of games that have had the biggest, most dramatic impact on my life. They taught me valuable lessons, inspired me creatively, opened my eyes to new ways of thinking, and they caused me to have a major breakthrough in personal development. This is part one of a two part series!
I hope you enjoy this special and personal list of highly prized, and warmly cherished, games.
1. Millipede for the Atari 5200.
This was the first game I ever became addicted to. I remember playing a bunch of games like Arkanoid, Pong, Dig Dug, and others at my neighbor’s house. Prior to this game, I didn’t really even like video games. Granted, I was young and naively in love with cartoons, but this game stirred up the gamer in me.
This probably happened because Millipede was the first game I felt like I was actually good at. It was one of the first times I felt confidence and satisfaction from doing well. I remember my parents watching and remarking about how well my eye-hand coordination was developing.
