4. Super Mario Kart | The Top 10 SNES Games

Super Mario KartIf you owned this game as a kid and had some friends, you had an awesome childhood. With eight racers, 20 tracks, and two player action, this game had everything you wanted in a fun and competitive racing game. The controls were responsive, the action was packed–and much like the other games on this list–the music keeps your head bobbing. I spent hours as a child trying to beat track ghosts in time trial, winning the gold in the 150cc special cup, and hurling red shells at my friends in battle mode. While later games in the series did it better (notably Mario Kart Double Dash), few could match the consistent fun this game provided when a friend came over.
